They will absolutely fit...you will need longer bolts to hold them on. Don't think there will be any interference issues with anything(alt, PS, A/C), but if there are, longer belts will solve that.
As has been mentioned, just be sure the covers have provisions for the PCV and oil fill.

I replaced my steel (1977) valve covers with the aluminum LT1 valve covers; I did have to get longer bolts. Autozone item, was not a big deal.

Longer bolts ok,but are the bolts steel or aluminum?

If your heads, rocker arms and cam are stock and the covers are the finned aluminum they will fit...

Rick, steel is the only choice. You probably need 1/4" longer than stock. Assuming your going with new gaskets too. Just remember, thicker gaskets may need a little more length as well.

I went to a nice set of ARP valve cover studs. Very accomodating for different heights and acts like an extra set of hands while attaching wire looms and washers/ nuts.

I know it's not stock but I went with the stud and nut route with mine it made it a whole lot easier with the thick gaskets I used and the V/C sat perfect
