I never realized a good paint job can be SO EXPENSIVE. I will not settle for a Econo job. I can't afford to finish my project and must sell now. I purchased this Tennessee car about 8 months ago. Slowly I have been fixing her up. The car is pretty much down to some missing interior trim, seat belts, and then paint. The Stingray is 1974 t-top classic white/silver interior. The motor is fresh rebuild L82 (not original but from 1978) stock 220hp, but with mild cam, holley strip dominator intake, headers into 2 1/2 duals with magnaflows should now be closer to 350hp. Original M21 4 speed. I figure if I could afford to complete it the car could be worth $10 to $12k. I will sell to a member as is $6,500.
Illegally (no tags) I take the car on a quick joyride behind warehouse. Motor, tranny, clutch, ss brakes, radiator, engine compartment are all 100% fresh and completed with no worries in that dept. I estimate $3,000 could really make this car show worthy. I wish I could finish.
Thanks, Robert
