It has what I have been told a rare interior option, red with white leather. Some guy at the NCM said only a few were made and I needed to keep this one. Mike Yager commented on it once saying he had one like it and had seen no others, he thought I had bought the one he had owned.
I am going to sell this to the best offer I get in the next few days. Hagertys has it insured with no deductible for 18 grand, their website gives a 77 as an average sale for around 12 grand.. Not in this economy...

I need to get 8 grand for it, would like more . I do not want to deal with the idiots on craigslist or ebay.  I thought I would throw it out here first and see if anyone in my Corvette family wanted to give SHARK'N a good home.

It runs out good still, I would drive it anywhere (if gas wasn't 4 bucks a gallon) Many of you have seen the car, it is the one I drive most of the time.
It has all the faults a 35 year old Corvette might have but nothing serious. The major repair it needs at the moment is an exhaust manifold gasket on the passenger side. Those of you that know how anal I am know, this is huge..lol

I can deliver it within a reasonable distance . "Reasonable" has yet to be determined... It will drive to anywhere you would want to take it, I also have an enclosed trailer.

I am located in NC and that is where the Vette is.   I sill have the other two and probably will sell the 1985 C4 as well. The 71, I keep.

I am not in the best of shape these days after the bike accident and maintaining 3 Vettes is crazy for me now..  help me give the 77 a good home..  Phone is 336 468 0809

Hate to hear anyone getting rid of their Shark, but..ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Two-toned interiors were indeed fairly rare for these year models. A good friend of mine here had a white '77 w/mahogany-white interior...pretty spiffy!
I don't think 8 grand is too much at all...the car is in good condition...good luck with the sale, and yer health, too.

IdI were in the market for anothe C3, I would JUMP on this one so fast it would hurt your neighbor.  I LOVE white interiors.  Your asking price is waaaay more than resonable.  I wish you the best of luck with this and I hope she finds a new home.

Walk in peace,
David

Thanks guys ! I really don't want to sell any of them but there comes a time when you have to yell uncle. I can't do the wrenching anymore and mechanics are ripping people off like it is fashionable to do so. The money I have spent, the times I have been gouged and knew it, but what do you do?
Old buddy Tux...  Ermm I am so glad you have your memory as sharp as it is, I was thinking that maybe you could draw a quick pic of the back end of a certain white Vette , that is for the moment that you could still see it up close...  It does get smaller as it drives away... Hug I love you brother.......LOL

I am in Illinois right now, gives me a few days to think about it before returning to NC.   Confused

Scott,
I live in Greenville, SC and I have a friend who might be interested.  If things worked out, he would give your car the absolute best home that it could have.  He is VERY finicky with his car care.  I did a "cut 'n paste" of your original posting and sent it to John.  If he is still interested, he may try to contact you, if that is OK with you?
Good luck sir,

Scott,
It was I that got messed up, but only because the way you started out the thread, talking about a red with white interior, even thought you clearly stated it was the '77 and the pictures show the difference.  so I apologize for beind such dumb-bell.

I am going to talk to a dealer in NC next week when I get there and see if he wants to sell it. I have no patience when talking to people about it. Selling seems the thing to do but when it gets close to happening , I seem to sabotage it and walk away with a grin, like I just bought it myself. If I keep on, I will probably buy another one ...lol   I just loaded the 85 in the trailer for the trip next week. I need to hurry and hide it from myself when I get there..

Anyhoo I hope all works out for ya and hope we can get together soon. Keep on pickin Brutha, "T"

The injuries from the bike accident are permanent. I am 100% disabled from the accident. I get around pretty good and have good days and bad days. if you see me, it is a good day ..lol..
It kills me to watch the cars go downhill and try and find a reasonable mechanic that actually knows what he is doing.
Getting in and out of a Vette with broken bones and bones missing parts is not a good thing, I can actually ride my Harley easier than I can drive any car or truck.
I am in the middle of my move back to NC, sold almost all of the guitars, just trying to make life a little more simple. I think living in one state with help the finances as I am not drawing disability. Terry, I hope to see you all in the future if I can remember to show up ...lol

The 77 has now developed an exhaust manifold leak, I took it by a local mechanic, he says a simple gasket replacement..  Simple... I can barely touch the manifold, not a chance of removing it.  I told him if it doesn't sell in the next week or so, I will bring it and let him replace it..
First thing he said was, "If I had a car like that, I would never sell it"   grrrrrrr....

I put it for sale on a local online site, best offer. I have not even got a phone call. I guess I keep it a while longer. I drove the 71 from STL to NC Wednesday, it was a beautiful day for the most part and it ran perfect. It was rough getting in and out but I had a huge grin anyway. It seems the economy is in the toilet worse than I thought, at least I am not the only one broke... Wink

If you listed it "Best Offer" only without a starting price, people may be scared off expecting a much higher goal than you listed above.  If you did put that starting price, then I agree.

Hope you have some good days around the gathering time next month and we'll get to see you in Charleston

Scott, hopefully with sping getting more stabilized with the warmer weather, you'll receive offers on Corvette. Maybe if you can get it to some cruise-in's might help. I hope the right person finds it and gives you a respectful amount for it. Good Luck!Thumbs Up
