So I finally took her to my mechanic.
He found a vacuum leak on the intake manifold gasket.
Replaced the gasket.
Replaced the O2 sensor.
Found that the driver side headlight actuator was leaking. Ordered a left one. The box said left. There was a right one in the box. Ordered another left one. Box said left. Right one in the box. Ordered a right one. Box said right. Got a left actuator.
I guess it depends are where you are standing.
Balanced the throttle bodies. (No charge)
Fixed the vacuum lines on the headlight switch (No charge).
Tried to check the timing, but the dampener was way off. It was broken.
Replaced it and discovered that the fan clutch was busted.
Replaced it and saw that the lower speedo cable was touching the exhaust and had melted through. (My fault. The cable was too long.)
Replaced it and all the interior light bulbs. (No charge.)
Tried to fix the cold idle, but ran out of time (I wanted to drive it before I go to F.W, IN.
So now it runs better than ever.
I still have a problem with the driver door handle, but that is another thread.
And the tach is sticking. Not a problem right now.
I am just glad to have it back.
Taking a trip on Saturday, car show on Sunday and maybe a parade on Monday. Cruise-ins next week.
The season is finally starting.
