Its nice getting all that goop cleaned up back there and it never hurts to have some fresh paint on the frame..the guy I got my car from had the tank replaced just because..I have the original tank it still looks new inside..someday I will get the old one cleaned up and put back in..maybe a rad shop up there can just clean up the original..

Yes, I figured a new tank ain't a bad deal, consideing how old the orginal is. The old tank was cool, with the small tower hose clamps on the vent lines- never seen small ones before.
It had overspray from the undercoating, too. It would take a lot of work to make it look good.
Now I'll have another tank to just sit around. I already have an '87 Vette tank I can't give away (rat rodders, where are you?).

The rad shop here has I think an acid dip they do..it cleans everything off..and they re solder joints and such..I am kinda weird on original..but yeah a new tank isn't all that much..and they got good ones out there..I will have a newer tank to lay around here to..you say hot rodders ha..I will keep my eyes open for them.

The pics are NOT showing. THey are waaaaaaaaay too large to display in the post. PLEASE re-size them down to somewhere around 400 x 300 pixels, and then they'll load onto the page.
I'm sure just about everyone here has been thru the "While I'm here" syndrome...truth is, it never ends! At least you got something of a tank sheet...better than nuttin!
With this many pics, tho, it would be BEST to use links to them, instead of actually posting that many pics in one thread.... Adams' Apple2011-02-01 11:16:17
