Look at THIS pic of the bezels, and you'll see the holes for the screws that Larry mentioned. The nuts for the screws are fastened to the body...unless they have fallen off, or were removed.

I do believe the 80 didn't have bezels, the tips just turned down in front of the rear valance, to make bezel work you might have to cut and do some fiberglas work......."forget about it"

The easiest way to cut bezels into your car is to cut the openings to fit the bezels, and rough up the inside around the opening.  Then cover the back of the bezels with several layers of paper and finally masking tape for easy release, then tape the bezels in place.  Lay fiberglass mat so it sticks to the body and molds to the paper-covered bezel.  Drill through the mounting holes.  Then pull the bezels out and remove the layers of paper to give yourself a little clearance.  Cut your new fiberglass about 3/8 inch beyond the holes you drilled so you can slip "U" nuts over the edge, and you are done.

Have fun

You'll need to spit that gum out...
Just kiddin...
If your car still has the original type bumper cover, which is flexible urethane, it's gonna be hard to modify it to accept the bezels. If you have a fiberglass replacement type bumper cover, then Larry's idea will work.
What he is saying is you will need to build up a "lip" on the  bumper cover once you cut the hole. The "lip" will give you a place to bolt/screw the bezel to.
Perhaps we can come up with a drawing or something to help visualize this. I'll see what i can come up with later this eve., if no-one else does first.

I should have clarified that I was assuming you had fiberglass bumper cover if you were planning to put a bezel in it.  If you have urethane, the same instructions apply, but instead of fiberglass you use a urethane bumper repair kit or two.  I have been looking for a good diagram.  I will see if one of our people can draw something I can scan and post.  As Joel said, all you are trying to do is build a little lip to screw the bezel to, and using the new bezel as a mold.
