Trying to put new exhaust pipes on the ’72, going from 2” to 2.5”, in the kit from Central Corvette Magnaflow there are two reducers sleeves.  Do these sleeves fit coming out of the manifold? On the passenger side is the heat riser I’m not sure one goes there because there seems to be a round sleeve that fits onto the heat riser.  I can’t find a good diagram, anyone have one?  Or where these sleeves actually go?

Thanks.

Mike

Without seeing what you have, from the description you have the sleeves for the "doughnuts" where the pipes fit up to the manifold. You are correct in that the passenger side will NOT use one, since the heat riser is flared on the bottom end for the pipe to fit/seal properly. You will only need to use one sleeve on the driver side. Insert the sleeve into the manifold, then the doughnut fits over the sleeve, then install the pipe onto that. Thumbs Up

Is this the same for a 1976 L48 manual where the passenger side only has a spacer??
