I have a bone stock '68 roadster.  I know the '68 didn't have map pockets on the passenger side lower dash, but I'm thinking I would like to have them for convenience of holding registration, insurance, and even an occasional map.

My question is: is it a direct one-for-one swap from my '68 to a later year passenger side lower dash  with map pockets?  If so which year is your recommendation?

'69 should fit right in with no problems. Later years will not work as well....

Appreciate the "should fit" response.  Hopefully I'll get a response from some one who did the switch and they can confirm it is a easy take the screws out of one and put them in the other and your done............If that is the case, I'll order one.

I'm wrestling with keeping the 1st year C3 stock or adding the subtle improvements that improve it, while keeping the stock look.  I know one day, I'll fall off the deep end and do the TREMEC 5 spd etc. but for now I just want to enjoy the 45 yr old with minor improvements
