New here and my C3 is 99% restoration done, needs buffing and logos replaced, Has been over two years in restoration, bought in 2010 with 49,998 miles on it, Had sat with T-Tops off in a leaky shed abandoned with ceased engine for years, interior trashed, transmission in a mess, body good but all faded. purchased and transported to shop in Georgia 2010 and total restoration started.
Interior stripped out completely, all gauges sent to be re-manufactured, speedometer worked had broken face glass, needle broken showing 49,998 miles, engine had ceased from running low oil. Owner and wife had split and the Corvette had to just sit forgotten on blocks wheels gone for years.
Engine and transmission removed sent to factory qualified shop for total rebuild. Block bored .010 over, new crank shaft rods & pistons replaced, top end rebuilt, valves & lifters, all bearings replaced, new cam, new fuel and water pumps and balanced, Eldelbrock performer manifold with matched Eldelbrock 650CFM carburetor to engine displacement.
While this was being done the interior was stripped out totally, cleaned and any wiring replaced to code color if needed. Tilt wheel steering section installed and all other checked out. Replaced complete inter with new Black, dash pad, seats, carpet door panels T-Top pads, new AM/FM disk surround sound system, all weather stripping replaced. All replacements were OEM.
Installed new engine and transmission, new 4 core radiator as well as new heating unit and fan inside. Checked rear end and replaced the mount bolts with hardened ones. Spent over two years getting it done and motorcycle drag race accident left me in a wheel chair and one eyed, now that its 99% finished, now waiting for paint to cure well before buffing and applying outside trim, logos. I am unable to drive it so either sell it or store it. Has under 25 test miles showing since restore. Not even broke in yet it's a new 77 C3 factory code red.
FINISHED, IT IS NOW FOR SALE, HAS BEEN STORED AND IS UNLICENSED, READY TO BE BROKE IN $15K WILL GET IT. WANT A NEW C3, HERE IT IS.
