I know they were supposed to put a build sheet on the top of the gas tank, but I have heard of people finding other extra copies in other locations on their vette.

I was told that my '68 doesn't have one on the tank, which doesn't surprise me as the car was restored many years ago.

I was wondering if anyone has found or heard of anyone finding theirs in other locations on the car than the gas tank?

thx rick

Sometimes it's under the carpeting, between the tach and speedometer, inside the jack box compartment. But mostly glued to the top of the gas tank. The works did some crazy stuff!

Some early cars did have copies stuffed in the seat cushions, or behind the seatback.
Under the dash, carpet....you name it. Happy Hunting! Tongue

I found one in the strut bracket underneath the car. Of course, these were cars that had not seen much mileage so it had not had a chance to get shaken out.  Others have reported finds tucked away in other parts of the suspension
