My Pace Car has pretty much run crappy since the day I got it. I had a few local mechanics work on the carb with no improvement at all. A while back I had contacted Cliffs High Performance in Ohio about rebuilding my carb but was told they had about a 1 year backlog and would put my name on the list. This past fall I decided it was time to see if I was still on the list. I was and the time was getting near. About February or March they called and said to send it in. I said, wait a minute, if I send 2 can you do them both at the same time? Off came the 2 carbs. The Silver Ann ran pretty good but did not start good at all in the cool weather. The carbs came back in late April and I can not believe the difference. 200+ miles on the Silver Ann and 100+ miles on the Pace Car so far and both run great. They rebuild, tune and set them up to run better on today's gas. Very happy with the work done by Cliffs High Performance. Thumbs Up

Jeff, glad this worked out well for you.  I've never had Cliffs do any work for me (that backlog thing...) but I bought my rebuild kit and other parts from them and used Cliff's book to rebuild my Q-Jet.  Seems like a pretty good outfit.  They also have a good performance forum on their website that mainly centers around Q-jets and related.  Enjoy the cars now that they're running good.  Hopefully you have better weather than us in the Pacific NW right now.

Nothing bothers you more then when your car doesn't run properly despite your best efforts. But, it is so nice when the cars run properly and you can truly enjoy driving them! You were lucky they wanted the carbs in the off season, Jeff! This works out great for the summer season! Hope to see you around SOMEWHERE this year. Jackie and I like hanging with you and Elaine! Maybe you guys can make Carlisle! Great news, though!

Dave, The weather here's been great. A little on the cool side most days but a lot of sun. Great riding weather. Been to WA once. In '09 took an Alaska cruise out of Seattle for our anniversary and spend an extra 5 days in the area. No rain until the day we took off.
Barry, Hoping to make Carlisle this year but not sure. works gonna be crazy. 2 house starts in June plus the regular stuff. Elaine & I enjoyed the time with you and Jackie in IL. Hey, ya got 73 cents I can borrow? LOL

Congratulations, Jeff!
I remember you saying the pace car ran rough back when you got it.  Awesome that she's running good now. Good for you!

That's great news Jeff. I know you thinking of getting rid of the Pace car, so does this change your mind?
Sure hope we can see you guys this year.
Dave
