Hi,
Looking for some advice please. I've looked at many C3's from Phoenix to Denver to Portland over the last 6 months. Most in below average, (my opinion), condition so haven't been interested in any till now. I found a 1969 427 Monza red, all original except one repaint. Looks to be well cared for but the owner has only had it 7 years. It was his Father in laws for 7 or 8 years before that. He was told it had some level of NCRS certification but has no documents. Is it possible to find it with a vin#? Where would I look?
He has no build sheet or anything like that either.
Beside's carfax is there another source for history of ownership
Also, it looks to be a base 427, 390hp, no tilt, no PW, no AC. Undercarriage and interior are very clean. Engine compartment looks all original and also in very good condition.
I'm looking for something to hang on to for a while. I've rebuilt and customized a 1971 3/4 ton K20 4x4. But this car is something I would keep original. Is a model like this one desireable to keep original?
thanks for any advice for a first time Corvette buyer!
