I'm going on the Caravan this year and figure I'll stop and get a quote while I'm at the NCM.  There prices and coverage seem pretty good.  I've got Progressive right now but coverage is lacking compared to the NCM.

79FOREVER said: My Hagerty insurance increased $138.00.  Other than Grundy who else is out there and is a good company.

What kind of policy do you have with them? Collector, Antique, etc? I have both of the Corvettes thru Heacock, full coverage, agreed/stated value, limited mileage on both, but allowed more on the '85 than I am on the '74.....not that it matters, since neither of them get driven very much. LOL
For the price, Collector insurance is an exceptional value(compared to everyday, "normal" auto insurance) unless you prefer to drive the car a lot(3000 or more per year).

I use American Collectors Insurance Company. They've been excellent. When I had a claim (with a different car), their adjuster looked at the car and the estimate at the body shop and simply told the shop manager "Fix it".

I have had SF for years, but now that the 76 is 95% finished I chose to go with National Corvette Museum insurance. I felt it was almost too cheap. I have an amount and mileage of 3000 miles with 250 deduct. for less than 200 per year. I noticed that it was underwritten by American Modern Home?????  Guess I can always change, but happy for now.

I went through the NCM for the Vette. Adam Boca was a big help. Thumbs Up

Due to Nazi New York State Evil Smile the policy had to be underwritten by Atlas Ins. Something about NYS doesn't allow a non for profit organization to insure motor vehicles. It was weird. So that is why the NCM had to have Atlas be the insurer. Saved me a ton of money.

I have all my insurance with State Farm; home, life, and 3 cars.  I had the 74 with them before I sold it, and it cost me $150./yr for collector insurance with 7500 miles/yr and agreed value of $15,000.  I like having all with one company... get a pretty good break on everything.

My insurance is through AAA (Auto Club of Southern California).  I had to go check to see how it is written up. I m not sure who actually underwrites the insurance, but it is an Agreed Value policy written for an agreed value of $37,000.  It has a $250 collision deductible, Liability 100,000 each person / $300,000 each occurrence and property damage of $50,000 each occurrence.   Uninsured Motorist is $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident.

It is identified as garaged and driven less than 2500 miles / year.   I write them a check for $201 a year after using the following discounts:  C3VR Corvette Club, multi car, multi policy Good Driver and Garaged. We have had all our cars and home insured through AAA.   When I purchased the car six years ago, AAA did an inspection, took pics and shopped for me.  I got a call back with this policy and I accepted.

I have no idea if this is a fair price or not, but I do not have any stipulations on the policy other than those explained above.  I'm happy it is not more living in SoCal!

FYI, the car club discount is 5%.  To qualify the club needed to be in existence for 3 years and have a minimum of 100 active members. C3VR helps out again!
