Well I got into the father /son car project . We took the carb off the 79 and took it all apart and dumped it into the berryman carb dip,soaked it for a night (cause it was a mess) and showed my son how to build a carb. Bolted it back on and started it right up. Well now for the list of issues,it has sat for so long that everything is rusted up and I am begining to think I need to take stock out in WD 40. Brakes need a total overhaul and the fuel leaks are keeping out of the garage. I want to do a compression test to see the condition of the motor to verify the miss is mechanical or eletrical but that is another day down the road ,I've got work to do on the 71. My son is already looking though the house of color paint chips for a color to paint it.I total him any color he wants as long as its a red shade because thats the orginial color, he wants purple......go figue, told him he was hanging on the net too much

Good that ya got started with a Pa/son project, tho...it'll be good for both of ya....except for the you paying for it part.

Well he found the color, candy apple red with a silver base, maybe he is starting to listen.Oh I have one up on the new member that bought his vette for 500.00 ,ours was FREE..........
