Dan, first let me say, where is the pictures of this Yellow Vette? Sounds like a nice looker with the black stripe.
I have wanted to get my 73 painted for a couple of years but things just haven't worked out for it yet. The cost of such things do not help lower the amount of $$$'s being spent and no way would I be able to recoup the money but it still would be nice for a while. I do not show my car and I drive it as often as I can so I would not expect/want a show-car type paint job. It just bugs the heck out of me when I see the things that need repair in the paint department.
I am know for spending money on the car to make it a better driver and it was no-way close to being a "survivor" when I got it so maybe I will get the paint next fall.
I say if you want to get it re-painted then go for it. The car is suppose to make You happy, not what the other guys want.
