I ran my '78 on 225/70R15s at 20 psi for 25 years. The tyre wear was minimal and even and the ride was fine for me. BUT, about three years ago I upped the pressure to 25,more to see what it felt like than any other reason. Definitely a harder ride, but a tad lighter steering
feel and slightly quicker response. I've recently put new tyres on and have run them at 24. So far so good.
It's a relatively stock car, coming up on 39 years old, so I'm not looking for, or expecting C6 performance levels!
