In November I started a topic on tire size. I have decided to go with the 245/60/15 in lieu of the recommended 225/70/15. I like the slightly lower, slightly wider profile. I don't think this size will rub. I want the same size on all four corners. So, the discussion becomes brand. The BF Goodrich T/A is traditional, but, the lettering yellowing/browning has been discussed on this web site as well as in tire reviews online. It also has a "S" rating for 100 MPH. The Cooper Cobra has been recommended by some on this web site. It has a "T" rating for 100 MPH which sounds like a "S" rating to me. I've seen no discussion on the Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T. I think that Mickey Thompson has more muscle car heritage than Cooper. It also has a "T" rating for 100 MPH. This speed rating may be important because of my inability to not stand on it once in a while. I'm thinking it should be way higher! It's the reason the car just got repainted. (I'm looking for any excuse other than my inferior driving ability) Anyway, has anyone had experience with the Mickey's, or do you know someone that has?

Not recently, but we used to run M/T Sportsman bias ply tires all the time, back in the day(mid/late '70s, before he and his wife were murdered...). Had a set on the Sebring, the '65 Impala SS, and, iirc, a set on the rear of the '72 Corvette. Some sticky tires they were. Can't say anything aboot the quality of them now, but I do see a lot of guys running them on street cars.
