When I look at my 72 it seems as thou the body   sits high. When I get it back on the road I would like to have less height above the tires to the body. The gap just looks to large for me. I plan on replacing all the bushings in the frt end and it would be the time to make any changes. Also I will be replacing the differential as well so the rear will be getting rebuilt as well. What changes will I need to make in order to reduce the gap above the tires? This will be sometime in the fall I hope so I have time to start buying parts!
Thanks
Rodney

Ebo,
I havent done anything to it yet so thats where it has been since I got it. I probably put about 500 miles on it before it came off the road. The previous owner didnt do anything to it so it just sits high.  I dont know if Im gonna change the springs frt or rear yet. I will be pullin them both out! Ive heard good and bad for doing both, but if thats what I have to do to get it to sit a little lower I will. Just dont like it sittin that high.

Check and see if the bolts for the rear spring mounts have been replaced with longer ones, or non-stock bolts. That allows the raising or lowering of the rear, which will also effect the front somewhat. Some cars just naturally sit higher than others, for whatever reason. It's best to check the actual height against what the factory specs are, and see how much difference there really is. Might not be as much as you think. I don't have the specs for a '72 that I know of, but someone here might...

Ummm, correct me if I'm wrong, but last time I checked, there's just ONE spring in the rear? The rear seems to be over simplified in the article. Just my .02!

You are absolutely right Barry. Guess I should have read the entire article first! They are way off. Don't know what kind of car they are talking about. A-arms in the rear???

!! That kinda looks like a "generic" write-up...too bad it's not very detailed..or even correct for a Shark car! !
