Your link shows a typical booster rebuild....your GM booster is not all that different. They ARE a big pain to disassemble and reassemble. I haven't done one in probably 30 years because they are time consuming, and not just a little bit dangerous...the spring is pretty stout in most boosters. Getting them to seal after twisting the two halves back together is hit or miss....it might work, it might not.
I don't know where you might be able to purchase the rebuild parts, either, but they are available somewhere. Good luck if you do it, and take plenty of pictures of the process!
btw...the Factory Chassis Service Manual does have a section on rebuilding the brake booster.
