A lot depends on what you want out of the pads. The HPS pads are supposed to give better street performance and the ceramic pads are low dust with good performance. Of course, when they say better performance, they mean over stock original equipment pads...which are really no longer available since asbestos isn't used anymore. Maybe they mean currently available oe design pads, but ad hype aside, it sounds to me the HPS pads are better. If it's a show car with minimal "sporting" driving, I would consider the ceramic pads, but that's a personal decision.
The way I look at it, even the best brakes are barely good enough. For myself, I'd go with the best performing compound pads and complain about the dust after. That's more "fun" than pranging the front of the car 'cause they didn't stop short enough.
