I have a silly question , its been a bit since Ive changed brake pads
Do i need to remove the master cylinder cap and make sure there is plenty of brake fluid inside when i squeeze back the pistons to add the new pads.

Unless you have a leak somewhere, you prolly won't need to add any brake fluid, but it may be low. I would NOT remove the master cylinder lid when pressing the pistons back in...unless you happen to like the way paint looks after being eaten by brake fluid.
The best thing is to put a hose on the bleeder, and run the other end of the hose into a can/bottle of clean brake fluid. Open the bleeder slightly, and push the pistons back in the caliper, then close the bleeder. This will keep from pushing dirty fluid back thru the lines, up into the master, and it will also keep the master from overflowing.

Have you checked to see if you actually need new brake pads?  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"...or, as I've been known to do..."If it ain't broke...fix it 'til it is!"

Front pads  need replacing so I decided to change all four with hawk ceramic pads.

When you go to replace them pull one pad off and replace it before you do the other..its easier than trying to get both pads on at the same time..

 They make a set of retainers to hold pucks from skidding out when you pull the pads. They work VERY VERY well. Worth the money.
