Finally had new sneakers put on the vette.  I went with the 255/60 15 Futura GLS from Pepboys.  They wouldn't put them on the car, which is fine since I wasn't going to let them.  Seems they have had their share of sports car owners who are a little...I don't know.  Last time I had a shop do anything with the car was an inspection just before I took it off the road and they damaged the exhaust when the were trying to get it on the lift.

Anywho, I'll let everyone know how they are this weekend, hopefully.  I screwed my back up again and have the dash out/steering wheel off.  Tough to drive around like that.

Still can't get the windshield wipers to work... a problem for another day.

Nice tires.  They're made by Cooper under Pep Boys Futura line.  They're essentially Cooper Cobras which are fine tires.  I think you'll be pleased with them.

I understand about why you don't want their tire busters to hand your car.  A buddy with a C5 bought a new set of tires at Pep Boys...got a very good deal (Cooper was having a promotion).  The tire monkey who set the lift for his car did it wrong and the lift pad punched a hole through the fiberglass underbelly.  It wasn't too bad and Pep Boys did pay for the repairs...but it never should have happened to begin with.
