hey

while driving I hear a slight squeak out out of the rear end I now believe its the parking brakes shoes that are worn out and need to be replaced since the rivets on the rear rotors are still in place. My question is can they be adjusted in so I can still drive the vette until I can order a new set to install (4-6 weeks at least). I know this isn't the right way but the car is a daily driver and I don't want to park her just for the parking brake. A side note all the other brake equipment has been gone over and is in good shape

Sooo can I use the adjusting star wheel and just adj the

 pads all the way in?

It may well be EASIER to loosen the adjuster under the tunnel where it goes up to the handle in the cabin/passenger compartment. The spring tention may let it loose enough to drive till winter parking time comes.     Mark

If you pull up slightly on the park brake handle, does the noise go away? If it does, then the p brake is the problem. If it does not go away, or change at all, then you've either got a u-joint going out, or....a bad spindle bearing....
