Things keep going wrong!!!

After the soda blasting, paint job, and fixing all the stuff that didn't work after the paint and body shop got through throwing everything back together, Now I have a steering problem. My power steering is gone. The pump is still turning and the belt has the proper tension, and the right amount of fluid.

How can you tell if the pump is bad or if the problem is in the steering valve or the cylinder. I don't know which part I need to replace.

The only thing I have done with the steering is to take the hub off and replace the horn components. Any chance that I got the hub to tight and thus no power steering just manual? That just does not sound like it could be the problem.

Working on the top side of the column will have no bearing on whether or not the PS works.
Is it making any noise when you turn the wheel?
First, take a look(if you haven't already) to make sure none of the hoses are kinked, or mashed somehow.
It is possible the valve in the pump has stuck open. It would still pump fluid, just not under any usable pressure.
The PS control valve normally won't just give up the ghost like that, but it's certainly possible. My bet, if the hoses are not kinked or something, would be it is a pump issue...most likely the pressure control valve is stuck.

No hoses are kinked, but I did find that the cylinder was leaking just a little bit.

When I turn the steering wheel all the way it does hiss a little, but not much. Other than that I guess I could replace the cylinder. but not sure if that is the major problem.

Is it difficult to rebuild or better to just order another cylinder.
