how hard is it to change the power steering assist cylinder? and ideals on how to make it easy?

easy., jack the car up, place stands under frame, mark where the two lines go, they go in at a slight angle so be careful when reassembling not to cross thread, disconnect lines and bleed PS fluid, disconect the cyl rod from frame bracket, disconnect cyl from center link by using a pickle fork, reverse assemble, make sure to use tubing wrenches when removing and installing lines  anips2009-10-07 08:20:25

It really is that easy - pickle  fork a definate must - the slight slant of the lines and marking what goes where is a real tip - Should be painless

If you switch the two lines, when you start the car, the steering wheel will jerk violently back and forth hard enough to break your arm if it is the way.  And I am proud to say that I learned that by fixing someone else's mistake for a change.
