does anyone know if all the strut arms are streight? I have 1976 the arms are bent ,the new one i got are streight.however the distance between the holes on both are the same.local corvett shop says mine are bent. but if they were streight they would be longer.need a quick answer if possable.Tks steve coe

The arms should be straight...none were "bent", or anything but straight. A lot of "alignment" shops would bend the rods to get the rear camber set because they weren't smart enough to do it the right way. If the rod(s) are bent, they really should be replaced, not just straightened...

They are suppose to be straight. There is a bolt on the bracket on the rear-end that they attach to that is on a eccentric. It is used to do the alignment of top and bottom of wheel. SOMETIMES the person doing the alignment does not know how or the bolt is rusted/froze up, and will not allow the adjustment to be performed. That is when they BEND the strut arm to line up the caster and camber of wheel. Put the new ones in and do the proper line up, use the bent ones to hold the manual open when you are in a windy area working on the ride. LOL
