I know I have alot to complete before I get to this part of my rebuild (engine install, trans install, interior install) however I am watching for sales and was wondering if anyone is running offset trailing arms. If so was there any other changes that had to be done to use them. I am considering an pair of offset arms to allow more inside tire clearance. Does it make a difference in the half shaft lengths? I also am considering getting rid of the rear spring and going with a coil over rear suspension. Anyone running a coil over rear suspension and is it worth the bother? I have to remove everything to make the gearing change some time late summer or early fall. When I do that I will need to replace shocks so before I spend on standard shocks maybe this is an alternative worth looking at. Look forward to hearing opinions!

I purchased the performance plus system from VanSteel with some mods.

I have the off-set T/A, just had to relocate the e-brake bracket. The half shafts remain the same.
I kept the rear spring and used the QA-1 adjustable rear shocks.  Everything bolted right into place with no problems.

Here is a good tip.... Call the supplier of the suspension parts and talk to them about the driving that you are planing to do and what your expectations are about the performance and handling that you want.   I did this with VanSteel for my set-up.  They put together a kit based on what I wanted.

What I can not tell you is how it rides.  I am still working on my car.  Some day soon.

Indy, Thanks for the response. I went to van steels site and checked out their setup. Its a little different then the one I was looking at from directspeed. It looked to be about $200 less. When do you plan on getting yours on the road. I know its going to be August / September at the soonest for mine. Wouldnt it be nice if we knew what the effects were on stuff before purchasing! The rear suspension on mine will probably wait until the fall.
