Good evening,

I'm trying to find the correct radio for my '69 and am having some difficulty.  Car was assembled in July, body in August.

From what I've managed to scrounge up on the internet, the numbers should be 7302721 correct?

Now comes the fun part.  Several of the auctions that I've seen on ebay have had a paper product number of 7302721, but with a stamped face that reads 7303725.

Is that possible, or should the face stamp match the paper print?

Also, several of the "69" radios listed have a GM code #01VFP1, which should be from a 1970, right?  Does that fit, or should it be solely #91VFP1 for the mono?

Thanks in advance,

Kelso

Kelso,

The '69 radio should have a glued on paper tag that reads 91VFP1 for Mono & 91VFM1 for Stereo radios.

The 7302721 is a '68 mono radio.  The 7303725 numbers on the bezel is the part # for the bezel only.

Your right abou the 01VFP1 radio, it is a first design 1970 mono radio.

Hope this helps,
Anthony

Anthony,

Thanks for the reply.  That definitely helps.

I thought at some point I had seen a bezel with matching product numbers, but I could be wrong.

I'll definitely focus more on the service number for my mono.

Thanks much,

Kelso

Kelso,

None of the numbers are visible whe the radio is installed.

The best I can decipher from the NCRS manual, the '68 & '69 mono radios appear identical, it's the knobs that are different.

I'm not sure about the '70-'71 radios, but they may also pass in appearance (the mono radio).

'68 knobs are one year only.
