No, I have the driver's side in my office still- it has the foot/heel pad and high beam pad stitched in it.

But that's not a bad way to think. Usually it's something simple.

Not 100% sure what year the retracting belts came into play...I know the '72-up have them. That cut-out is for the retractor assembly. The carpet must be trimmed out around it, or the plastic cover will not sit down right, and the seat would hang up on it.
Rather than order a new set of rugs, I would get some carpet that matches, and splice it into the cut-out area. The seat will cover 99% of it, so it's not like it would stick out like a sore thumb.
I got my rugs directly from ACC(Auto Custom Carpets), and they did indeed have to be trimmed to fit. I might even still have the pieces I cut out of mine...they are black...

Aaron, I have the three pieces that are for the rear compartments that Im not going to be using. They are light saddle but could be easily dyed black! maybe give your car extra character and leave them saddle!Rolling On The Floor Laughing Let me know if you need more pics.
We just got home so I could take them tomorrow night if you need.
Guess I'm going to have to buy new carpet for the fronts (my back is fine)!
Anyone interested in this set of brand new carpets? They have the jute padding on the backsides. I also have to go with it a full set of foil/jute insulation.
I know this stuff ain't cheap, but I've already laid down the Eastwood, so I probably don't need this either.
I have a '75 that rats were living in so there is no getting the smell out, I'll need to replace the carpet. So the big question is, if you choose to let them go, how much you'll need to get for them ?

By the way, the ones in my '75 have a large rectangle 6" x 12" missing in the same area. Looked like they were made that way.Confused

I bought new ACC carpet fronts.

Thanks for all your generosity for the patch panels. I just don't want to deal with doing that.

Anyways, I want $50 for the fronts. I just received my ACC carpets, so I could roll these up in the same box.

I also have extra insulation/thermal barrier pieces, too.

BTW, I started working on my seats, too (posting a new thread).

Good deal!
I have a couple of spots in mine where I got mixed up on the old adage, and cut twice and measured once. I wound up just patching in from the leftover stuff, and you cannot tell where the spots are.
ACC is good stuff.

I'll put the carpet in the box, then get some dimensions and weight.
