I was poking around the inside of my car and see that the antenna has a cable for CB. I was wondering if they were all like this, or if mine came with the AM/FM/CB radio.  Thanks for your help!

Are you talking about a cable splitter? Only the CB equipted Vettes had the splitter.
Two cables came out of the CB radio going to the splitter, with only one cable going to the antenna. The power antenna had two connections but the CB connection just had a short pigtail connected to it taped to the mast tube.

It's a splitter right behind the drivers seat.  It says CB something or other on it, but the cable went under the passenger seat.  So I wasn't sure if all the Corvettes had this cable/splitter and just only the ones that had the CB radio had it hooked up and the ones that didn't, went under the passenger seat.  Seeing the number of CB radios that went into 78 Vettes, it wouldn't make economical sense to do it that way.  Mine had the radio, among other things, removed from the car, so I don't know what it came with from the factory.

Try these folks and see if you can get a copy of the dealer invoice for your car.  The invoice will list the options which were installed on your car, the orignal dealer, date shipped, cost, etc., etc., etc.

It's worth the $50.

A friend has an 82 that came from the factory with a CB radio.  Not sure about 78s.  Sounds like yours did too.

I plan on ordering that invoice, once my allowance comes in  ;).  My little Vette seems to be pretty well optioned.
