A few yrs ago I had the dash covered in the same leather which I had the seats done.  The dash looks great still but I have never been happy with the way the gauge cluster, speaker grills or center vent fit.  The leather is thick enough to get in the way especially with the speaker grills.  The grills have tabs that fit into slots in the dash.  The leather doesn't allow that without showing end grain and it's sloppy looking.  I wish he wouldn't have cut it out, would have looked better perforated.

Anyone have a dash pad on their car?  How do they finish off the ends?  If you could take a pic I would be grateful.

Worst case scenario for me is to buy or make over sized speaker grills.

Not sure what the question is, Dave. I pretty sure all of the cars have dash pads. Clown LOL
If I read it right, you had your original pad recovered with the leather, and that's why it don't fit/look right?
They do make dash "caps" that fit on top of the original pads to conceal cracks and such....they just glue on over the original....and they either come with the speaker holes in them, or you can drill them yourself.

Oops, dash cap or dash pad padBig smile.  The leather looks good and the dash fits well, it's the speaker and defroster vent grills to fit.  I have the dash pulled now to reglue the leather back down to the original dash.
