I just had a new engine installed - this included a detailing under the hood. I replaced the hood gasket with a new one from Eckler's, and what a difference it made! The hot engine air stopped entering the cabin - in fact my wife was complaining about the
COLD air that was blowing on her legs! I now am seriously rethinking using the expensive stuff to insulate under the carpeting. Heat is not an issue.
Now the engine noise from the headers through the true dual exhaust is another issue - but that "growl" I'm willing to live with
