Well....yeah...how do you think they make any money? They make money every time you break the glass, and order another one.....
If your mirror has a rubber gasket holding the glass in, you
should be able to heat the rubber up until it is soft, and then ease the glass out. However...if your mirror glass is junk anyway, just use the old timer's method of glass removal....
Once the old glass is out, you will see how the rubber holds the glass into the housing. With some heat, and prolly a little silicon spray lube, it should go in fairly easily. Be aware tho, that the rubber gasket may be more like hard plastic by now, after all the years of being in the sun...it may disintegrate on contact.
