After looking closely at the interior in the 72 vert, I think it would be easier to restore if I could find a complete used interior. Where would be a good place to look for one. I am going to need the entire center console from the parking brake to the radio bezel. Also If I could fine a dash unit including dash pad. If I cant find one I will have to paint the old parts. The glove box area was red at one time and it is painted saddle now, the tach and odometer trims have paint on them as well as the headlight switch. If I could find a saddle interior it would save alot of work. Any ideas on where I could locate one? Oh, also does a convertible have sun visors? Mine doesnt! The fun is just beginning! If anyone has good pics of the 72 interior, all areas of a convertible I would really like to see them.
Thanks
Rodney

I would think a used interior is not much better thenyou have now.  Wilcox carries complete interiors at reasonable prices.  You could also purchase sections at a time.

My 74 convertible does have sun visors.  I would agree with Dennis on a new interior.  You might be able to find a piece here or there on e-bay, but I think if anyone had a "full interior" that was in any decent shape, they would likely charge more than you would pay for new.

I had the same thoughts as you are having a few years ago. The problem was I could never find anything used that was really any better than what I had. If you can afford it and are willing to shell out the bucks, it is best just to start from scratch. When I say start from scratch .....I completely gutted my interior and started with the carpet and worked my way along buying things as I went. Next was Dash pads and gauges. console, trim around windshield, door panels, etc, etc. And as I went I would rebuild things like window tracks and stuff like that. It is very expensive and time consuming and you have to hide all your receipts from your wife. Why do they always want to know whats in the box and how much did it cost!!!!! Another thing if you do this is to find a supplier for the interior parts and use them for all of the things that need to match so it all is the same color. I found out that there is more than one shade of black. As for pictures .....I would of loved to have had a bunch of pictures to go buy. I will be glad to help you out in that regard because I took a lot of them as I was taking mine apart and putting it back together. You will have to decide how you want to proceed, but the people here and myself will help.
