My drivers seat feels loose. I don't think it's in the mounts. Instead it seems to be in the tracks. Passenger seat is fine.

Before I yank the seat out...again...and scratch something...again I thought I'd ask. Is this common? Is it easily fixed or is it a PITA?

I had the same issue and they the problem was in the seat not the track. Before you take the seat out take the bottom cushion out wiggle the seat. Check to see if the track is moving or the seat.. If it is the seat moving then the problem might be the metal piece on the bottom of the seat that the bolt from track attaches to.The metal piece is held on the bottom of the seat with rivets. If that is the problem you might need to drill and use larger rivets if the hole is oblong. Good Luck!!!

I think you are right. When I move the seat there is no motion at the mounting bolts. Drilling out those rivets sounds like a ton of fun! BTW a red on red corvette is beautiful!

I'm headed to Enumclaw next month to show my dog. I'm meeting up with a Schnauzer breeder from Bellingham. Small world! Unfortunately, it's Bellingham WA...not MA.

The '80 and '72 cars have totally different seats, and attaching hardware. Unhappy
David, you may need to remove the seat, and have a look underneath, to make sure the bolts attaching the seat tracks to the actual seat bottom are nice and tight. Thumbs Up
