Moving along putting this car together hopefully to drive very soon.
I need some help with seat belts.
On Ebay there are many sources.
One advertises for USA made belts that comply with US standards and they are only 149.95.
Going to the books and looking at Mid America and corvette America they are well over $300.
Anyone with experience replacing belts.
Should I only purchase thru Mid America or likewise???

If your vette is in the rebuild stage, like mine was and is, you might want to keep an eye out for a set of used or at least a sale.  I was forced to get used belts for my '81 because when I was replacing them there were no new ones available.  I called just about all the bigger parts stores(Mid-America, Ecklers...) and they couldn't get them.  Specialty shops didn't want to make me a set for insurance reasons.  I ended up finding a near perfect set on Craigslist for a third of what they were asking for the '80 and '82 sets.  Not to sound like a mom or dad...don't buy junk just for a good price.

I didn't see what year you have , but I seen ones on ebay awhile back and put on my watch list. The name to contact is PenascoPointParts and they look like originals for $169.95 OEM replacement belts for 1974 to 1977, but they might have other years,  Zapparex

I sent you a personal message let me know if you do not get it.  I indicated it had a problem but when I checked my out box it showed it sent.  I did not send it again because of that.

You'll not likely find original type belts in the aftermarket. What you will find is something that will bolt in, and work, but they will not look, or function the same as the OE belts. If you're not interested in keeping it original, then the aftermarket stuff will be fine, regardless of where you buy them. If wanting to keep it original, Ssnake-Oyl is the way to go.
