I have a set of seats from a c5. The driver side is power and the pass. side is manual. Has anyone seen a conversion to them in a c3. Size wise if I take the braket off and lowe the seast some it looks like they will work but is a pain in the A$$ to get the bracket off. Any suggestions??
Thanks
Will

Look deeper in this forum for a thread from a couple of years ago.  There was a member who did this conversion and if there weren't any details on how to do it in any of the posts you may be able to make contact through e-mail.

i put seats from a c4 (1986) in my seventy five. i used the seat tracks from the 75 and matched them up to bolt in the c4 seat buckets and they fit in like they were made for the car. a lot more comfy than the originals.

OK digging thru some old forum posts I found this

sundevil74 posted the link.

The issue I am having is that the rivets are harder than snot to get thru. I have already broke 2 unibits attempting to drill thru them. Those bits are not cheap either. Also how could I cut the floor (with what power tool?)?
Thanks
Will

It acccually will work well, I will be making my own bracket to mount the seats into the existing holes. the seats ride hight is a little higher but it will be much more comfortable. I had to cut the brackets off the seats with a sawzall witch was a challange but the rest is straight forward.

This 78 vette had them in it (click here to see it).  I talked to the owner about the install yesterday. He told me that he used the original 78 seat brackets on the C5 seats and had no problem with the installation at all. He gave $400.00 for the seats from a salvage yard. He really likes the feel of the new seats in comparison.

They matched the interior (light tan) pretty well with a slight difference. They definitely look as though they set higher. So, if you are a tall person proceed with caution.Overall it looked like a decent swap although the C5 crossed flags in the headrest looked kinda outta place.

My choice would be the LT1 seats as previously pictured. They are comfy and just look like they were made to be in the car.

But that an opinion and that plus $.89 will get you a cup of coffee at most gas stations.

I thought about the other brackets but the brackets that were on the c5 seats had the same rivots attaching them to the seat. I had a bloody hard enough time getting thru 8 or those. And they were easier to get to than the other ones. I thinks ill take some pics and post just for reference if any one is interested.
