MrMikes was more than helpful. He knows of a couple more sets of fiero seats but they are located in West palm Florida. Call Him for details. I'm removing the speakers and filling with spray foam, instructions on his website. I ordered the brackets as well. I chose leather so I. All seats, brackets, and covers are still cheaper than Corbeau seats with the 1/2 shave. I watched for replacement late model corvette seats but prices are pretty high wi the "corvette" tax. I'm still installing carpet, pix to follow.

Hi, I am assuming that 1974 is the brackets as 1975. If thats the case, did you do any modification to the new seats? Where did you buy the seats? Let me know. Thank you

The cheapest I paid was $40.00 for a set on craigslist, the most $120.00 on Ebay. I modified mine a bit & switched the seats left to rt & rt to left. This helped as the outer bottoms tend to ware more on the outside. By switching the seats you end up with almost new outsides & the inner is supported by the tunnel. Here's a complete thread on this subject.

It's not that hard, Kimberly! Unbolt the seats from the floor You'll need a long extention for the back bolts. I used 2 heavy (the thicker ones) 5/8 inch fender washers on each of the rear holes (add more or less as you see fit. The bolts are long so there's no problem). I used duxseal (a type of putty) to hold the washers in place while putting seats back in. Some have also used aluminum spacers, but the washers work just as well. I would also clean and lube the seat tracks while you have the seats out. Hope this helps.

Thank you Jaws 79, but the problem lies in the split seat. The back part of the seat goes too far back even if I have the seat up all the way. I tried to put a piece of wood where the split joins just to lift the back up but it keeps falling out. I need a permanent solution. Thank you all for the nice welcome!

I got the idea from DaveM he put a bolt in the lower seat clam shell. I took some flat 1/4 nylon cut 3 pieces about 5 inches long screwed them together separately (so you can remove or replace) and screwed them down into the rear shell. I can send you pictures in the spring. I may also have some of the nylon still lying around if you want it. It props that seat right on nicely. ebo
