hello all,
I've been saving this project but at last it's time to tackle it.
I have minor door window rattles in the 78 so ordered some window bumpers, there are two for each door.  metal brackets with some cushion and felt on them.
(It is a real pain to take the door panels off. I've done it a couple of times but don't look forward to it, mostly due to some of the screws and the corresponding holes don't always line up or are stripped and I have to be very careful putting them back in. (I did come up with using speed nuts to in addition to the existing holes and that works really well).
Anyway - what I was wondering if anyone could help with is there are no instructions or guides as to where the bumpers go once I get the door panels off.
I have a build manual but it doesn't show where they go. If it is obvious when the panels come off that's fine but any guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you all

Once the panels are off, you'll be able to see the two rattle-stops on the upper edge of the doors. One is toward the rear edge/corner of the door, and one toward the front, almost directly in line with the inside door opening handle...

Just bolt the new ones in, and run the window up and down a few times.  Keep adjusting until you get rid of the wobble without binding.  It is pretty straightforward.

They don't always eliminate all of the rattles because there are still the window rollers and such in there, but they always help.Thumbs Up
