I did the "BeCool" on the cheap.  Same results as Eurodesk.  Never goes above 190.  All I did was got a dual fan kit (comes with it's own thermostat which threads right into the block in place of the old one, on at 190 and off at 160), had my original radiator cleaned out and soldered up, installed a 160-degree thermostat, installed a new water pump which advertised 30% more flow, added a new alternator for the amps drawn by the fans, and new hoses.  While I was at it, I removed the vacuum-powered heater core valve and installed a ball valve from Lowe's so I can shut it off with confidence.  The fan kit allowed me to discard the space-consuming fan shroud and toss the old electric fan, which was only marginally effective with a clogged old radiator.  I also added a pilot light on my dash so I can tell when the fans are running (if I can't hear them at speed), right next to a lighted rocker switch so I can manually run the fans, which is essential when the AC is on.  I put these two items on the bottom edge of the dash just to the left of the center console.
Looks great and performs even better.

If they were in good shape you might have been able to sell or donate them.

I'm with you fcepquam! You can have that carb, I'll take fuel injection anytime. We might not beat anybody at the drag strip, but we can turn the key and it will start with out pumping the c#%p out of the pedal.

A little grinding inside the intake manifold makes a lot of difference in response and power.

You have to balance the throttle bodys to get good idle and off throttle response so you don't have hesitation.

You should check out the Crossfire Injection Forum for any qusstions you might have.
