After I picked up my 72 Vette this past October, I bought a "DRY" Reproduction R89S battery for it from somebody who "started" a restoration of his 72 but sold the car before completing it. Thinking I might go the "full restoration" route, but have changed my mind. I would like to sell the battery "before" it gets energized, as the seller never filled it, and requested it to shipped dry to him, he told me. I looked into getting enough electrolyte to fill the battery from dry, and Auto Zone had it in their store and it was only $10 for it. If anybody can use this reproduction battery, it would go to better use then just sitting in my garage like it did with the person I bought it from. The fact it is "dry", you can have it around without having to worry about it going bad I'm told, so if your resto job is not completed, but you want to save some money, then this may be for you. These batteries normally sell for at least $290 + shipping, and I'm selling for $165 (or BO) + $57 shipping to the lower 48 states. If you are interested, let me know.
