I just got a letter from Lance Miller regarding Club Parking at Corvettes at Carlisle 2011. Here is what it said:

Corvettes at Carlisle 2010 is in the history books and we're now eagerly planning for the 2011 edition! Your club is one of the grandfathered-in clubs from previous years and we appreciate your continued participation. This past year we had a few complaints regarding the club areas so I wanted to make sure each club was aware of the rules and regulations.
First let me share a bit of background on the club tents. My late father, Chip Miller, originally opened the door for any Corvette club to participate and arranged for a designated parking area on the Fun field for each club. Soon it became apparent that some clubs were becoming a bit too territorial. Since this negated his vision of keeping the Fun Field FUN, he decided to discontinue the program. The original clubs that participated in the program were welcomed back year after year and after his passing I was happy to continue to fulfill his wishes.
The rules and regulations for each club that currently participates in the program are:
- There is a specified area for each grandfathered club. This area will be better marked moving forward due to some minor issues this past year.
- The designated club area will be based on the number of pre-registered cars of each individual club so please encourage your members to register early. Example: If 28 club cars are pre-registered for Corvettes at Carlisle, Carlisle will supply ample space for those 28 vehicles only.
- Each club must have at least 20 pre-registered vehicles or the club space will not be available for future events.
Corvettes at Carlisle is happy to announce we will be hosting our first ever "Club Challenge." It will be open to any and all Corvette clubs, not just the grandfathered clubs. We're letting our grandfathered clubs know first because you've been our strongest supporters since the inception of the event. The top 3 clubs (measured by most vehicles registered for the event by a particular club) will not only have bragging rights but also Carlisle will supply a banner for the winners, the club will be listed along with a picture in the future event directory and we'll feature your club on our website.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. We appreciate all of your support and look forward to seeing you in the future. Mark your calendar now for the 2011 Corvettes at Carlisle, August 26-28! I hope you and your club had a great 2010 and I wish you a happy, safe, healthy and prosperous 2011.
Life is good,
Lance Miller
