Okay never to early to start to plan our attack on the little town of Skykomish, be lucky if I spell it the same way twice.
Who, from the site is definatly going, damn near sure they are going, or would like to go but need a good push.
Is anyone besides my wife and I going up on friday night and spending the night. I was thinking if I could get some sort of number , that I would contact to sponsors to see if we might all be parked together, maybe make up a crude banner, plan a pot luck lunch or something of that sort on saturday, dinner, a criuse after the show, rape and pilliage the village before we leave, open to all thoughts, I have met mark (corvette427), and mark (cilrah), and Glen (suncountry), so I know first hand that you all have a dark side to think of the wild and bizzard. Feedback soon boys and gils, you to cilrah....................
I'm going Larry for sure. Just found out yesterday that my wife has to go to Yakima from 10-29 Aug for work so will not make it.
Also I blew it, the person running the show called me yesterday and told me they had added a new catagory to the judging, they now have a CORVETTE Class I should have asked her about parking together for the club. I might have her number on my phone I'll look.
I'm going to drive up the morning of the show. If you let me know where your staying we could meet up and drive in together

I plan on going, but will be driving to the show Saturday morning as I'm not very far from Skykomish.

I haven't sent in my form yet (was going to do this today) but was going with the category for club since several of us were going to be there. Just a thought. But most have probably sent in the form. Guess I'll submit it under Corvette.
Mark
Got the number, my caller ID box says Jerry Dinsmore but as I recall from last year, the ladies were running the show.
I just called the number wasn't her, I got truck driver driving through Arkanas. Better go check that machine one more time
Okay she said if we arrive together we can park together. I asked what time they are going to start and she said she will be down there at 6AM but offical Registration starts at 8AM. We should get there really early like I did last year or you end up at the end of town in the boonies

As you come into Skykomish there is a gas station/convience store on the corner before you turn to cross the river into town. I think this would be the best place to meet up.
Would everyone whos planning on attending please PM me you cell phone number? That way we can contact you if your running late or something. We might be able to keep one spot open if someone is late but can't block of a number of spots. I think between 6:30 and 7:00 would be a good time to meet up there. My number is 360-790-8925.
Thanks.

Application was mailed yesterday. Meeting at the gas station sounds good. Lets hope a bunch of other groups don't decide to do the same thing.

I think I might be getting screwed in work on my plans to attend this show My supervisor said I could have the day off, BUT !!!
We have five parttime clerks in the post office, one left to become a supervisor, one transfered to a Atlanta area PO, ones on leave for a month, that leaves only two of us and it normally takes three to run ops on a Saturday. I swear if they don't let me off I'm calling in sick.
They do have 3 other fulltime clerks who don't have to work Saturdays, they had better call one or more of them in cause I not missing this show

Well I have completed the tranny rebuild and have it back in. I sure miss driving it around. The hardest part was bolting the shifter back in. My exhaust is all welded together so I can't get it out of the way. It looks like all I have to do is give her a bath and wax job and I will be ready for the show.
I thought I might have to pull the trans back out because becase when I pushed in the clutch the trans would not stop spinning. I shut the engine down and put it in gear, pushed the clutch in and bumped the starter. It did not drag so I fired up the motor with the clutch in. The engine was idling and then the engine rpm started to get pulled down until it stalled out ( my foot was planted on the brake). I was not a happy camper. Released the clutch and pushed it back in. Thought I would try it again. This time it worked just fine and backed her out of the garage and went for a short drive. All seems great now. The only thing that worried me on the trans rebuild was all the little needle bearings. I use my deep sockets as the install tool and it worked great.
See you all next weekend! What time are we meeting up on Saturday?
Glen
any name for that station, or is it the only one in town........ Dee-Dee and I will be there friday night, spending the night at the river inn or something like that.... mine is getting alittle work done should be back on the road wednesday. see you all in the sky....

The XXX in Issaquah is practically right off of I-90. I did the All Camaro and Chevy Show there a couple of weekends ago and traffic was not bad at all. Ya there were alotta people at this show but it didn't cause traffic jams by any means. Alotta people just ment for a great show. If I had a choice between the two, I'd do a All Corvette Show any day or over a Show and Shine. Of course don't go just to be disappointed if you don't win anything. At a show like this there will probably be showroom, mint, Bloomington Gold type Vettes there
Oh by the way Larry, my wife is working in Yakima until the 29th so won't be at either show
