Oh...it's SO alright... I was there...I even remember parts of it...
The good thing is, Eric Clapton's "461 Ocean Blvd" came out that year...a fitting return for a guitar genius.

I don't feel so bad... still love my 74.Cool
The main reason I bought it was because it was in real good condition and the last of the "no cats".
And has plenty of power for me.  Just thought it was an interesting article.  And you gotta admit, some truth in it.

Well, I just heard on the radio, GM filled bankruptcy.  Interesting times we live in.Wink

Don't care what they say, I still love my 74, its still a Corvette.  Hug  Horsepower is nice and if its not hot enough ya can always do some upgrades on the engine, etc.  Most of us don't do a lot of racing anyway.

Hey, 74 was a good year because I graduated from high school! All I wanted was a new 'Cuda. Never did get one though. Good times!

Freed from the burden of having to sustain underperforming nameplates, such as Saab and Hummer, GM should become lighter on its feet. It could also become … well, kind of chic.

I don't care how "chic" it becomes, just so long as they keep producing good cars like the Corvette.    Thumbs Up
