Just wondering, has anybody seen $4 gas for regular yet,
besides in the small towns?

I see the Barrel of Oil continues to go up and is over 124 as I write.

I paid 3.70 yesterday for regular in Klamath Falls OR.
And it is interesting to note, Oregon has NO State Sales Tax.

It's about $3.55/Gal here right now.   It cost me over $55. yesterday to fill the vette.   MAN, something's gotta be done, but what?  Not much while we still have an oilman in the White House.

As someone who worked at the Federal level to deal with the first energy crises 34 years ago, I can say with certainty that high oil prices are here to stay. We were confronted with the energy equivalent of Pearl Harbor back then--twice--and since then we've done almost nothing to address the emergency. As I've told anyone who'd listen: second only to nuclear war, this is the single most critical national security issue America faces. It's no exaggeration to say that our basic way of life hangs in the balance--and the fact that our national leadership in both parties have willingly turned their backs to this crisis for three decades is truly a disgrace, and a terrible disservice to this country. The effects of $4-plus gasoline have only begun to be felt here; prepare to see a great deal more negative economic impact as the full weight of that burden falls on us all. If America was really serious about addressing the issue, I'd at least feel some hope. But the fact that Congress didn't even extend the measly $2,000 solar energy tax credit speaks volumes about how far our heads are stuck in the sand when it comes to energy policy. Sad that America has become so incapable of stepping up and accomplishing what we've been capable of doing in the past. Where's the national outrage over the fact that we're funding nations with our oil dollars that fundamentally oppose our basic values?

I seen 3.99 for premium all over Seattle/Tacoma, 3.79 for reg. Cosco has had some decent prices on gas also.

Mark, I seen the Safeway in Yelm had .20 off a gallon if you bought $50 worth of grocerys with the Safeway clubcard, not sure how long that will be going on for but according to the sign it was only available at five or so Safeway's.

Cry Regular is 3.85, Diesel is 4.26. We have been car pooling but still cannot get ahead. It is going up a couple cents every day. Cry It costs me as much to fill the two wheeler now as it did to fill the VETTE when I first got it. BUT as DWRIGHT says " THAT kind of entertainment,DRIVING, is still cheap excitment. I try to keep my foot out of the float bowl.

As was stated, people need to wake up and realize the depth of the problem.  Last night, Diesel was 4:79.9 for me.  Heres where it hits everybody that they dont realize.  My Semi gets all of 7 MPG when I am hauling 44,000 of Goodyear Tires up to Victorville.  I have seen the fuel prices almost double in the past 24 months.  I have no choice but to add the cost to Goodyear, who has to increase tire prices sooner or later.  What you are complaining about now with gas or food is just the tip of the iceberg, I dont want to think of what inflation will add up to in the next 2 years.  I do know that with the cost of running a truck, just tires, oil changes and fuel it has to be up OVER 20% in the past 12 months.  This will add up for everybody else quickly.  Quick thing to remember: If you bought it, a truck brought it.

I am the son of a trucker and I really feel your pain! You make some really valid points. Sooner or later the inflationary pressure due to increased transpotation costs on the economy will be staggering. If you'all think recession is an issue now....wait.

As long as the U.S. dollar is weak the arabs just raise the price. They deal with U.S. money. When the dollar falls price on oil goes up. when the dollar goes up oil price falls.

I just heard over the radio, a barrel of oil is over $129 and headed to 130.  A record high....
So I guess more pressure on gas prices.Confused

Cheapest Gas in Klamath Falls, southern Oregon is 3.75.

In my small town, gas is 4.35 for regular.  Klamath Falls is only 21 miles away, so most folks buy their gas there.

I am happy to report from the road (the wife and I are on vacation in the '74) that I saw the cheapest gas today that I have seen in well over a month.  I stopped at a station that had regular for $3.58 a gallon ($3.79 for premium that I'm using).  There ended up being a station down the road for $3.49, but considering it was over $4/gal for premium when I left home, I guess I'm happy.

I remember a couple of years ago telling my step son how sad it was to be happy to see gas below $2.50/gal.  Never thought I'd be that happy to see it below $3.50!

Went up to 3.79 for unleaded regular this morning.  Angry    Just like everywhere else, they jump it up 15 cents, down 1 or 2 cents for a few days, then another 15 cent jump.  They won't be happy until we are all well above $4.00/gal, probably closer to $5.00.  Dead
