Well today, one of the hottest days of the year doh I decided to do a little clean-up on the Pacers engine compartment.  I replaced both Hood Latches with new ones, and replaced the Emissions and Air Cleaner Decals.  I also cleaned up as much of the dirt and grim that I could get to Dead  Heres some before and after shots.

I was a little nervous about closing the hood for the first time, but it actually opens and closes easier now Thumbs%20Up  The hardest part was pulling out and putting back in 30 year old cotter pins, I didn't have new ones to use.  Oh ya, I also replaced the rusted and dead Master Cylinder about two weeks ago.

Looks very good. I have been putting off painting the wiper area on my Vette. I did pick up some heat shield insulation material to put on the inside of the hood. I will need to make a pattern out of cardboard first before I can do that project.

You know when I detailed cars a long time ago, we used tooth brushes to clean engine compartments, grills, wheel wells, rocker panels, & wheels. I get mad at my wife when she throws away old tooth brushes. Aaron19762008-08-16 20:53:35

Mick, I used a detailing brush. It's a brush larger then toothbrush but has very hard brisstles.  A lot of that stuff was caked on and a toothbrush didn't work well.  The larger brush was hard to get in tight corners though.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Is that really a Blower Relay Joel or are you joshing me due to my wifes delema?

Hey now....leave the little lady out of this...
Looks like the high speed relay, no kiddin. Unless you got the ONE car with the super special, highly secwet, COPO program only, passenger side emergency eject seat, then that's the blower relay.
