Good morning Martins Vette!   Central Indiana here.  Reg unleaded here went up to $3.859 mid-day yesterday.

Saw the price at the local stations jump from $3.45 on Tuesday to $3.63 on Wednesday.

$3.43 in Tucson for regular.

 I was filling up the wife's car today ,and they changed the price as I pumped.$3.55jumped up to $3.65 in Baltimore Funny thing there was no tanker in sight.RNB2008-05-08 10:59:19

Vancouver, WA comes in at $3.73 a Gal. for regular unleaded at 76 today.

Gas went up to 3.99 9/10 here in Alton, Illinois today. Across the river in St. Louis County (Missouri) it is $3.79 9/10

In Kingston Ontario Canada we are up to $1.30 per litre - approx $4.94 US per gallon. 

Was $3.89 yesterday morning for me, was $3.99 today!  ARG!

PREMIUM WAS AT $4.05 TODAY.   THIS IS ALMOST AS BAD AS WATCHING MY GAS GAUGE GO FROM FULL TO EMPTY. aT LEAST WHEN THAT HAPPENS I KNOW I`M ENJOYING MYSELF. ANYONE WHAT TO MAKE A WAGE ON WHAT THE PRICE WILL BE FOR THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND?.THIS IS NUTZ.

I paid 3.99 on my way to work in the woods at 3am this morning, cheapest in the area I've seen is Costco @ 3.73 in Lacey, WA.

Its' 4.15 for reg here today...but the real problem--- because of it EVERYTHING is going up. Hold on to your belts folks

Only one place in town this morning under about 4.04 and it was 3.99 for regular. Hmmm......tell me again why it is we are not drilling Anwar or off coast areas or Montana etc., etc? Oh yeah, Congress!

Gas went down to $3.78 today, that's a 2 cent drop in the last couple days...  the way it's been going, I'll bet they raise it 10 or 15 cents tomorrow.       Anybody know if they make a Corvette bicycle?????

I saw one station that was at 3.94 today - that's the highetst I've seen. Traveling tomorrow to Northeast TN, so it will be interesting to see what it will cost me...

Just hit $NZ 2.00 a litre here, so thats around $NZ 7.00 per US gallon or $NZ 9.00 per imperial gallon. At current exchange rates = $US 5.25 per US gallon and $US 6.75 per imperial gallon. Ouch. Have to drink less so I can afford to feed the vette still !CeeDee2008-05-24 03:24:01

I balm democrats for this mess. Yes Republicans have there issues but this is not one of them. Demo will not let us drill for oil nor build refinery's and they think taxiing the oil company's will make this problem go away. I know wrong forum.

It is going up because it is traded on the stock market. Our friends across the water in China are using it like it is going out of style making items that should be made in the USA because our greedy American CEO's think paying slave labor wages are OK.

ON the other side of the world the Opec Nation shut down production until the price goes up. Then they ever so slowly begin to ship the tankers that are sitting idle to those willing to pay the highest $$$ or sometimes to the wheels that squeak the loudest depending on the political circumstance.

i paid $4.09 for premium last night. $62.00 to fill up the C5. any guesses to what the 4th of July price will be?

Paid $4.15 for 87 octane today. And that was cheaper as I drove north out of the big city. They were getting $4.39 for 87 down there.

Here's the picture: we produce just over 5 million barrels of oil a day here in the U.S.

Our daily consumption is 20. 8 million barrels.

The math speaks for itself. We're dependent on imported oil and oil products for the large majority of our daily consumption.

We have approximately 21.7 billion barrels of proven oil reserves left in this country. We have several hundred years' worth of coal, and a similarly massive amount of oil shale. Environmental prohibitions and the state of current technology essentially preclude us making more extensive use of those domestic energy supplies.

Oli prices are skyrocketing for two reasons: one is that China, and to a lesser extent India and other fast-growing third-world economies are industrializing at an unprecendented rate. The world has never before witnessed an economy that's growing as fast as China is. The law of supply and demand dictates that a commodity such as oil that is not growing in supply, but is in increasing demand, will rise in price.

The second reason is speculators. Most commodity prices are affected by the futures market--that is, a market where speculators 'bet' on what the future price is going to be, and buy and sell contracts for future deliveries based upon that price.

For some time now, as the futures market has seen demand for oil go up (due to China, India, etc.), it has bid the contract price up. The message that this market is sending is that consumption is going to increase, creating more and more demand. As demand goes up, and worldwide production remains pretty stable, the price goes up.

It's difficult to see how China isn't going to keep growing and consuming oil at a faster and faster rate. Meanwhile, we can't/won't increase domestic drilling and refinery building.

So the outcome is crystal clear, for anyone who wants to look at the facts. Unfortunately, for the past thirty years none of our elected leaders have really wanted to present the truth--and the tough solutions that are called for--to the American people.

And that, in essence, is why we're heading into some very deeply troubling times ahead. Future wars are likely to be fought over natural resources. Oil will certainly be one of them.

Last night my son on his way to work passed a Chevron with the price for regular listed at $4.05. This mornig coming home from church my wife and I passed the same Chevron with the price now listed at $4.09. We are maybe headed to $5.00 a gallon, and we thought $2.00 a gallon awhile back was bad. This is kinda scary, I'll have to go to cruise-ins that are free or $10.00 or less registration fees. Aaron19762008-05-25 18:55:16

Cheapest gas in Klamath Falls, OR is 3.92

Cheapest gas in Redding, CA is 4.05

Both are good size community's.   Where is it all going to end ???
Barrel of Oil this morning is  133.  Record high was 135...

gas is 3.99 per gallon and diesel is 5.01 here in eastern washington

 its 4.00 a gallon for regular in eastern north carolina, I paid 4.25 for premium on saturday, diesel is 4.40..it costs 25 bucks just to mow the yard, maybe i need a goat. rd

It has been higher, but across the border in MO I paid 3.70 for Regular last night.  On the KS side, it is always 8-12 cents higher.    Don't even wanna think about Premium!!  And am I glad that I don't drive a diesel.

Hey Rick....25 bucks.  Just how big of a yard do you have?

Well gas here in Klamath Falls OR  is hitting the big 4 bucks too.
  Still acouple of stations at 3.94, but suspect they too will increase to 4.

In my small town of Dorris, CA   REG GAS IS 4.55!!!!!

Thanks Rick.  When gas goes down, we will think its a bargain.  That's  like the  "boiling a frog story".

Gas hit 4.00 for reg. here.  And some stations are going over 4 bucks.
Diesel is 4.80.

The price per barrel went DOWN to $128.00 a few days ago.

This morning the cheapest in town was $4.05 and this afternoon the same station was $4.20 and that's for regular!

Well, things are getting a little better now-a-days.  I just paid $3.16/gal for regular.  Even with all the bailout stuff going on, the price of oil and gas is getting a little better.   Doubt it will get below $3. tho.  Hope its doing better for the rest of ya'll.

As for here, today (9/27/08) they actually lowered the price as I was waiting for a light to change. The price went from $3.59 to $3.55.........so it's getting a little better here. I know out in Calif. that you guys get stuck with higher prices..........who knows why?
