That is a kewl car. I'd take the big V-8 too, but, don't knock the turbo 4 too much. My wife had a VW Jetta with 1.8L Turbo and that thing could really set ya back in the seat some. No trouble passing, got 33mpg on the hiway and had it up over 100 with more left.

I have no room for two "toys". I barely have room for one.

It's just with as many problems as my Vette has and the amount of money I'd have to dump into it to get it right, I'd probably save money by buying a mean looking, better running, 2010 Camaro Convertible! (At least it is still a Chevy! Big%20smile

That is a georgous looking car, but I imagine it's going to be priced close to the new Challenger. I wouldn't replace a Vette for it but sure would like one. In the webcast they said production will start in Feb 09 Thumbs%20Up

Too bad all of the current "Pony Car" offerings are such bloated beasts. I think of the three the current gen of Mustang is the closest in size to the original. The Camero and Challenger are going to have the toughest time making it in the marketplace. Say what you will about Ford, but they didn't abandon the market segment like the others did.

I gotta agree with you on that Jim... but at least Chevy did stick with the Vette... unlike Fords T-Bird...

Put the retro's along side any classic Vette and I still believe the Vette will get the "nod", thumbs -up etc... etc...

I saw the movie Transformers last night. It featured a 2010 Camaro.

If I were to buy one it would be the vert too. Hugger Orange with black rally stripes. And if I could get the hugger orange interior with the orange black hounds tooth insert in the seat I would. Of course that is circa 1969.

Second choice would be white vert with the same interior package or just hugger orange. It's all about new nostalgia... for me

Tux I'd go with the Orange also but might be white stripes, wifes first new car was a Camaro. We actually sold in 25 years ago for the white vette.

So I have her approval to get one, as long as it's a stick. Has to be the SS though Wink

I had a 67 SS 327 /4spd. blue with dark blue rally stripes. Dark blue interior. Crager SS.. nice car in the day. Better yet though was my grandmas's car. She only bought 1 new car in her life. 69 396 4sp vert. white blue rally stripes blue interior , white top, fully optioned and very nice. She sold it in the 80s for $30 K. It had less than 30 K mi. on it.
