Here are some pics of my Brothers 64 Fairlane Thunderbolt clone.
It no longer has the original motor but has never been drivin on the road. Kevin bought it about 20 years ago from the original owner who had it biult and drag raced it. The car never had a plate registered to it until last fall when my brother decided to make it into a cuirser. He put in a 390 and 4speed trans that he took out of his 67 Mustang a long time ago.
He had a friend help with the body work and paint it over the winter. He still has a lot of work to put it back together but we pulled out into the sun for the first time today.
Enjoy:

Very cool....I was a Ford guy way back when...lots of Mustangs and Galaxies.....Thunderbolt was definitely a car to be reckoned with....Does he have the original 427? Either way....this will be a nice ride!!!

Sweet! I used to love the original T-bolt cars...they were hi-tech for their day!
Your brother needs to cut about 12" out of the body between the door and the rear tire, then weld er back together...

And...if he's interested....I happen to have a cross-bolted, 4 bolt main, hollow journal crank, screw in freeze-plug, jen-you-wine Ford 427 short block from an original(ie:Real) 427 Cobra...Adams' Apple2008-03-29 20:43:09

Thank guys. I am pretty sure he is going to have fun just getting it back on the road. Next we need to build another garage.
