I have a 2004 ford econoline work van,,When I go to put fuel in it ,it acts as if it is full of fuel.It can be half empty but the fuel pump hose keeps kicking off as if it is full, Ive tried multiple gas stations, I have run a small tube thru the filler spout into the tank to check for obstructions, I do not see a vent pipe or anything else that looks clogged, My question is whether anyone knows why this may be happening, I realize its a ford, but it is my work van,,any help will be appreciated

Rick can you see the actual fuel tank? maybe it has colapsed and it will only hold half a tank? Is there a bladder or anything inside that could be blocking the deeper half of the tank? I'd try googling it also.

Yes I can see the tank, its easy to get to,,it is solid and has no bladder, Im thinking its some kind of vent,,evaporation problem like a vapor lock, when i take the gas cap off I do not get any back pressure,,It just started doing it all of a sudden,,and hey I know,,its a ford,,rd
The first time I gassed up, the pump clicked off half-full. Second time, it filled VERY slowly -- could only pull the pump trigger 1/2 inch before it would cut off, repeatedly. ... 2001 Vehicle: 2005 Ford Econoline Cargo Summary: SLOW FUEL FILL...Gas fills VERY slowly on my Ford E-150 cargo van. ... answers.edmunds.com/question-Gas-fills-VERY-slowly-on-my-Ford-E-150-cargo-van-
